look at the clouds todaywhen i met you, i stopped writing. i also stopped waking up to a face full of post it notes saying things like its bad luck to see the woman before the driving test, or my house smells like apple cider and bluebottles have eyes, or i've got static in my arms. i stopped feeling sorry and i stopped falling down the stairs. i noticed the stars at night could have a story and you could have taken the ocean and put it in your eyes. i also stopped writing.

when i met you, i stopped trying to be a nice person and just was. when i met you, i discovered post it notes and then i couldn't use them. i realised my house was not just a picture of a house

NotebookI'm at the mall, sitting on a bench, with a notebook on my lap, and I'm scribbling out random dribbles and drabbles of thought. They're melting together, but not making sense, and the sketches of nothing in the corners bordering it are starting to worry me.

I don't notice the first time she says hey, but the second time catches my attention. I almost thank her for it, but she would never have understood why.

She asks what I'm drawing. I tell her I'm not, I'm writing. She laughs, and asks what I'm writing. I look at the words and turn the pages back, and realize that it's not my style of writing. It's not even my handwriting.

It was anywhere but there. Does love go on vacation? I ponder and make fleshy butterflies from my outstretched fingers. Probably.

I can’t remember much but I can remember the beginning. The burn of acid bleeding and gushing past my tongue and down my throat. The noises and then your silence. The clumsiness and then the awkward kisses.

I wanted to cry out when I heard someone say "She's not gunna make it..."
But no sound came from my mouth. Until I noticed you and me was a fantasy, and I was actually dying.
"Tic tic ticity toc" Was the last thing until my heart stoped.

BothEyes the color of the eldest of trees,
Hair straight with a light wave of wind,
And skin the color of the sun’s sandy beach,
But she is one made as oil with water
With no mix, just parts in the same glass.

So what then is she; this single person?
Both ingredients call to her rich heart,

flesh puzzlesIn the beginning it was enough. I’d be wide-eyed, quietly watching her through the windows. Limbs and torso like a slender tree; bowing in wind and always shooting up toward the sun. She’d wear summer skin in the middle of winter with freckles spoiling her shoulders and cheekbones. Her birthmark was a dull red stain at her collarbone and she had a mole beneath her left breast. and they rise as she falls and screams at the world that everything will become a picture

Nude Art Petition

It seems that DA suffers from an over-representation of female nude photography compared to other types of Nude Arts, and that male nude, especially, lacks the representation it deserves.

This petition proposes :
_To enlarge the nude photography category to a NUDE ART category.
_To split this nude art category into a FEMALE NUDE ART and a MALE NUDE ART categories, which would both have their own gallery director.

This would ensure a better representation of male nude and other sorts than photographic nudes in the Daily Deviations and on DA.
